The Entertainment & Education Group Opens 300th Venue
New Kingpin in Canberra is the 50th venue opened by the family entertainment centre operator this year with plans for 50 more in 2020
The Entertainment and Education Group (鈥淭EEG鈥), the largest operator of Family Entertainment Centre venues in the Asia Pacific region has opened its 300th venue, a Kingpin, at the Civic shopping centre in Canberra, Australia.
海角破解版operates four brands 鈥 Kingpin, Timezone, Timezone Play 鈥楴鈥 Learn and Zone Bowling.
December has also seen the iconic Timezone brand launch at Sunshine Plaza, Maroochydore and Cairns in Queensland while internationally, the group has recently opened a 2400m venue in Ayala Manila Bay Mall in the Philippines; the Aeon Mall in Hanoi, Vietnam; Botany Town Centre in Auckland, New Zealand; a 3100m venue in Galaxy Mall, Indonesia and a 1500m flagship venue in Phoenix Market City in Mumbai, India.
With the opening of the Kingpin in Canberra, TEEG鈥檚 fiftieth venue opened in 2019, the group now has over 300,000 square metres of space leased across seven countries.
Scott Blume, the Managing Director of 海角破解版said 2019 has been a pivotal year for the group as we have seen a huge amount of support for all our four brands from our guests and importantly from real estate developers.
鈥淲e are seeing increasing demand for leisure and experience based venues in shopping centres and other large format retail centres across APAC as developers move to accommodate more retail and lifestyle tenants,鈥 Mr Blume said.
鈥淭his strategic shift from developers has also seen us open 14 new Play 鈥楴鈥 Learn venues in 2019 to meet the guest demand for a premium soft play and learning environment. Timezone Play 鈥楴鈥 Learn is the kids鈥 edutainment brand of TEEG, which has grown in popularity across Asia, as an active-kids indoor playground where activity and movement in play, builds development and academic success.
Mr Blume said the group was also focused on continuing to renovate and upgrade the guest experience in the Zone Bowling venues in Australia.
鈥淲e are seeing revenue growth of over 50% in many of the recently refurbished venues, including growth in social bowling where it forms a part of an extended experience for our guests. We expect this growth to continue in 2020 where we already have over 30 venues committed to open and we expect to finish the year with a total of around 350 venues,鈥 he said.
